Time to consider MNP ?

Well, it’s definitely the time of Jio…
Consider the facts –
It has become a behemoth in providing tele services in just about 6 months.
Its services recently crossed the 100 million mark in just 170 days!!
Meaning 7 customers in just a second *woah*
This company has forced players like Idea to merge with Vodafone to combat this situation…
And Jio sims are still selling like hotcakes in the stores.

Could this be a revolutionary telecommunication company or just “jab tak free hai tab tak chalao” ?  Only time will tell.

What I feel as a consumer, that it’s a big win for us. I have been using it as a secondary sim for more than 4 months now and could tell you it’s good in parts. Daytime internet speed is low and voice quality also not that good. Most of the time I ultimately have to call from my primary sim.
It’s exceptionally good at night though ! Getting speeds upwards 2-3 Mbps (tested on ookla) in no big deal.
Recently it launched its prime membership offer which I feel is going to give a serious fight to the incumbents

Here’s the deal-
People have to register and become a subscriber by the 31st of march 2017 and pay an upfront fee Rs 100 for the year. Then they have to pay
Rs 303 ( I don’t understand the logic of the extra Rs 3) every month for the same services that we are enjoying right now – unlimited calls , 30 GB data (approx Rs 10 for 1 GB cap per day) , various Jio HD channels, Jio mag etc.
Seems good??
Considering my bill is like 300-400 pm this is a much, much better value for the services I currently pay for.
But should I use MNP and use this as my primary sim ? That’s the question.

What would you do ??

  1. I AM USING IT AS A SECONDARY SIM ALSO AND ALSO NOT GONNA PORT MY PRIMARY SIM IN JIO RIGHT NOW BUT WILL THINK OF DOING THIS AFTER FINISHING OF ALL THE OFFERS BECAUSE AT THAT TIME WE WILL HAVE THE CLEAR PICTURE THAT THIS WILL SUSTAIN OR NOT.
